Jan has spent her career strengthening the correlations between business strategies and the planning, design and management of work environments. She has her BS in Interior Design and an MBA. She joined Perkins + Will’s Chicago office where she created the role of strategic planner/workplace consultant. Jan then joined HOK’s Advanced Strategy group and liaised with Sun Microsystems’ Workplace Effectiveness team as they invented many of the processes and tools that became the foundation of Workplace Strategy.
From 2004 to 2022, Jan was VP of Workplace Advisory at Allsteel, leading the company’s research into the effectiveness of work environments.
