NeoCon Presentation Description: In design practice, critical information rarely appears clearly articulated in the client brief. Needs are often communicated through context, culture, constraints, and intuition - especially when projects operate at the intersection of different cultural frameworks. This session explores a structured approach to interpreting both explicit and implicit client needs and translating them into clear, contemporary design concepts.
Drawing from professional experience in the American commercial context while informed by Latin American sensibilities, the presentation reframes cultural identity not as an aesthetic language, but as a strategic way of thinking rooted in narrative, adaptability, and emotional intelligence. Through selected case studies, the session demonstrates how cultural translation, client psychology, and conceptual clarity become practical tools, enabling designers to move beyond surface solutions and create spaces that are both meaningful and effective.
