Textured Light: Enhancing Spaces with Layered Illumination

Light is more than illumination--it shapes experience, defines space, and enhances design intent. This session explores textured light and how lighting professionals can use patterning, color, material interaction, spatial dynamics, and decorative fixtures to create engaging environments. Attendees will gain insights into luminous hierarchy, perceptual layering, and techniques for highlighting architectural and design elements. Case studies from workplace, hospitality, and retail projects will illustrate how textured light reinforces branding, enhances user experience, and creates a sense of place. This session is ideal for designers seeking to integrate innovative lighting techniques into their work.
