Neurodiversity by Design: Unlocking Potential at Work

As the author Matt Haig reminds us, there are seven billion versions of "normal" on this planet. Yet many workplaces are designed as if there were only one. This session explores how workplace design can better support neurodiversity the natural range of cognitive, sensory, and social differences across every organization. Architects and designers will share insights from collaborating with a clinician specializing in neurodivergent conditions, showing how different people experience the same spaces. Attendees will gain practical strategies for sensory environments, cognitive load, choice, and flexibility, seeing how even small design decisions can boost comfort, focus, and well-being creating workplaces where everyone can thrive.
