Thought leaders from Montreal's digital creative and placemaking ecosystem will share strategic insights around producing & using both digital content production as well as physical installations to drive meaningful engagement in the public realm.

Amahl Hazelton joined Moment Factory in 2009, overseeing Strategy & Development across the multimedia studio’s Custom services divisions that serve flagship Retail, Leisure & Hospitality and Commercial & Corporate clients. His experience ranges from experiential media facades and environments for Microsoft & Oakley flagship stores, to the new Fontainebleau and Resorts World Las Vegas integrated resorts and from the Partouche Casinos and the Grand Magic Hotel outside EuroDisney in France to colossal floating resorts such as the Royal Caribbean and Celebrity families of cruise ships. A graduate of McGill University’s School of Urban Planning with a specialization in Place Branding & Competitive Identity, Amahl has led the development of groundbreaking immersive media solutions that celebrate the identity of brands as diverse as iconic global sports, entertainment and consumer brands like Real Madrid, Sony and Arc'teryx, to destination brands at the local (eg Montreal Tourism), regional (New York State) and national (Destination Canada) level.

Cheryl Catterall is the Curated Technologies Strategy Lead at HKS, Inc. Cheryl has built her career on a passion for connecting people through storytelling. Her early academic and professional years as an architect and post-graduate training and experience working in performance design resulted in a practice at the crossroads of many disciplines, with a particular focus on digital tools and interactions. Navigating adeptly at the overlap of creativity, technology, operational and economic imperatives, she partners with her clients and their professionals to engage their audiences in new and compelling ways. She is thrilled to have recently joined the futures team within HKS architects to amplify the integration of digital experience approaches within their practice. Having led the creation of permanent and temporary installations in private, institutional and corporate settings through her own studio and as a creative director with Moment Factory, this new adventure is allowing her to consolidate her passions and elevate how we weave curated digital enhancements into the built environment.

Alexandre has been at the helm of Float4’s vision and strategy since its inception in 2008. Always on the go, and perpetually analyzing upcoming industry trends, he spearheads Float4’s creative initiatives. With a background in video-game development and software engineering, Alex’s work is devoted to exploring the oscillation between technology and art, using his findings to create compelling collective experiences that combine digital media and physical environments. He has shared his expertise at conferences including the Future of Immersive Leisure Society for Experiential Graphic Design Conference, xLab’s Speakers Series in New York, Integrated Systems Europe, TIDE at InfoComm, AIA, C2 Montreal, DSE, and HUB Montreal
